So we have survived our wonderful diving adventure to the Great Barrier Reef. It is official...we are all addicted.

Now the pictures have surfaced. Don't be scared of Cnuts, she didn't choose that underwater picture...

And Cnut's Husband:

As you can tell, our trip has been quite fantastic. And the best part: we still have two days to go. Wahoo! More news to come on PD Douglas. And yes, I know the D is redundant.

Cristina

My ladies!

My ladies have arrived! Caitlin and Gabrielle showed up just two days ago in the wonderful/horrible city of Cairns, Australia. And what a blast it has been so far. We wasted no times getting to the basics: who are Tony and Manny's new girlfriends...and would I like them?!?

After playing "tell me about the last 4 months of your life", the ladies and I boarded a beautiful boat for a sailing adventure extraordinaire. With 10 other people on board, the 14 of us and one cool crew set sail for the Great Barrier Reef.

Within no time, we were dressed a la Catwoman with snorkel mask tightly pressed to our face and thrown into the water. All four of us diving underwater for their very first time. It was amazing. The reef is so incredibly beautiful and full of fishes of every color, manta rays, and yes even turtles, though sadly I missed that one...

Our diving instructor was the sweetest little Japanese man imaginable. He made us all feel so at ease in the water, and even convinced one or two of us to get our licenses. The feeling underwater is so indescribable. Amongst all the fishes of the sea, I can't help but feel like the Little Mermaid in my own personal abyss of stunning wildlife. Fabulous!

We are off today for a drive up the coast. Final destination: Cape Tribulation. It is a magnificent beach that lies on the outside of the Daintree Rainforest. We are thinking about doing a Jungle Canopy tour, flying throw the trees of the oldest Rainforest in the world. Ohlala

More to come on that. And pictures galore. Just a note to Charlie: Gabrielle is alive and well. no worries! hehe

love,
Cristina and crew

Tennis with Cnuts Shoeless Jackson

So apparently I came to Australia to learn two things: tennis and French. This is what Cnuts has blessed my life with. Since we have about 10 hours a day to do nothing, we have endeavored to conquer these two feats.

Well, it turns out -not shockingly- I am a horrible tennis player. Cnuts beat me 6 games to nil, with no shoes, and I swear it, she didn't even move. Whilst I ran around the court like a chicken with my head cut off, and knocked quite a few balls out of the court and had to go fetching for them in the forest. Way to go Bernie!

Tennis aside, we have been having quite an enjoyable time at Silky Oaks. Those crazy folks have put me behind the bar a time or two, where I learned I am a horrific coffee maker, and every time the machine goes off, I have a minor panic attack that it will ask for two skinny lattes, and a cappuccino hold the chocolate. Ahh.

I did however make the world's best mojito for my boss. I told him one thing, and one thing only... I ain't Cuban for nothing!

Besitos a todos,
Cristina
